Coach

The Minneapolis Rowing Club (MRC), an active and diverse club of ~330 members with a strong national presence, is seeking coaches for both the men's and women's masters programs. Winners of the 2011 Masters Nationals and 2012/2014 Women’s Masters Nationals Team titles,  Top 2 finish in 2018/2019 Master Nationals and Master Worlds.

MRC is home club to a number of college, club and international medalists, MRC is situated on the Mississippi River with 4.5 miles of continuous rowing.

MRC operates on a “Canadian” model, with programming beginning mid-April and running through Head of the Charles. While not the sole criteria, the preferred candidate(s) would work within this timeframe.

Preferred requirements:
-USRowing Level II or equivalent
-CPR/First Aid/Boating Safety/USRowing SafeSport certifications (reimbursable)
-Minimum 1-year dedicated sculling coaching or high-quality sculling experience
-Willingness to work under supervision, adhere to club rules and standards, and contribute to the welfare of members and efficient operation of the club
-Must hold valid US driving license
-Ability to rig private/club boats
-Understanding/compliance with USRowing and MRC safety standards.


Remuneration:
-Coaches are paid a flat rate for each 2.5hr session coached, with a goal of 6-10 sessions/week; rate determined by experience and other qualifications. 
-Eligible for club membership/use of club equipment.
-Other work or coaching outside of MRC is allowed.
