FULL Try Rowing: Sculling 101 (Pilot Program)

Welcome to the test run of a new program, Try Rowing: Sculling 101. In this 3-hour class, MRC seeks to provide a brief introduction specifically to sculling (rowing with 2 oars) in single or double boats for members of the same household which adheres to social distancing guidelines. The health and safety of all club guests, members, and coaches is of the utmost concern. Participants must agree to abide by stated
MRC COVID-19 Procedures including wearing a face mask in and around the boathouse and while using the erg (rowing machine). Minimum age 14 and entering high school, and participants aged 14-17 (or entering grades 9-12) must row a double with a parent/guardian. Price includes a t-shirt and $50 coupon good towards any MRC rowing program in 2021.
The ability to hold this introductory session safely is heavily dependent on favorable rowing conditions including light to no wind. If there is any concern conditions will be unsafe, participants will be notified by 8:00pm on Saturday, August 29, 2020. In the event of a cancellation, a make-up session will be offered from 9:00-12:00 on Sunday, September 6. Refunds will be offered if necessary, but please sign up with the intention that you are available on 9/6 if the session on 8/30 is cancelled.
